Step 6.
Remove the 8 screws that secure the heat-sink assembly to the motherboard and chassis.

Remove the heat-sink assembly as shown.

Step 8.
To install the new heat-sink assembly:
a.
Use a thermal grease syringe to place five drops of grease on the top of the microprocessor.
Each drop of grease should be 0.03ml (3 tick marks on the grease syringe).
b.
Line up the screws on the new heat-sink with mounting holes on the motherboard and chassis,
then secure it with the 8 screws.
c.
Reconnect the microprocessor fan power cable to the connector on the motherboard.
Step 9.
Reattach the computer cover.
